If you were an SMSverificados customer, here is what changes (and your balance comes with you)
· 5 min read
If you have sent SMS with us as SMSverificados, this concerns you and takes two minutes: we are still the same company —ABARCANDO, S.L., tax ID B88017173, the one on your invoices—, but the platform is new and it is called SMSverifica. Your balance is not lost: we transfer it ourselves.
First things first, because it is what matters: your balance
You do not need to pay for anything again. The procedure is this:
- Create your account on the new platform and verify your email. At that moment test mode opens for you, with your API credentials ready.
- Write to us from the email address you used to work with us, saying that you were an SMSverificados customer.
- We check your previous balance and add it to your new account. A person does it, with the reason written down, and it is recorded: the movement appears in your balance history with its reference, so you can verify it yourself.
We say it plainly so there are no surprises: the transfer is manual and we do it by hand, account by account. There is no button that does it on its own, and we would rather say so up front than promise an automation that does not exist.
What changes for your integration
If you used the API, there are three things you do have to touch:
1. New credentials. When you verify your email, your api_key and your
secret are issued —the secret is shown only once, so store it then—. And
there is a better mode than the one you used: revocable Bearer tokens, which
you can create and cancel one by one from the dashboard without touching the
rest of your integrations.
2. Amounts come in EUROS. The balance used to be measured in credits; now
every money field is in euros and its name says so:
balance_eur, cost_eur, cost_estimate_eur. An SMS to Spain costs
€0.039 and that is the number you see on
your invoice, in your history and in the API. No conversions, no equivalences,
no discounts hidden in the top-up price: the top-up is at par (a €100
top-up = €100 of balance, VAT extra).
3. The API URL is the one on the new domain. The rest of the contract —the
endpoints, the Idempotency-Key, the status webhooks— works the same, and it
is documented with curl examples you can copy.
What is better than what you had
This is not a logo change. What is underneath is different:
- Three channels in the same API: SMS, WhatsApp Business and Telegram, with the same request body and the same history.
- Public prices for more than 200 destinations, with the price that is really charged: the website cannot advertise a rate different from the one the system applies, and there is an automatic check that prevents it.
- We warn you what the delivery receipt means in each country before you send. In many destinations the operator's "delivered" only confirms that its network accepted the message; we say so instead of letting you believe otherwise.
- Certified messaging: notifications and contracts with a chained and signed evidence trail, a PDF certificate and public verification.
- A dashboard with what was missing: saved templates, emojis with search, a choice of encoding (text or Unicode) with a warning of what each one costs, a message preview showing where each part of the concatenated SMS splits, and the list of your authorised senders with their real status in the CNMC Alias Registry.
- Spanish invoicing with sequential numbering and itemised VAT, and consumption reports by channel and by country.
One thing that is going to change for everyone: the sender
From 15 September 2026, under Order TDF/558/2026 and CNMC Circular 1/2026, the alphanumeric sender of SMS sent to Spain has to be registered in the Alias Registry. This is not our decision: it applies to the whole sector.
What it means for you:
- If you send with a numeric sender, it does not affect you.
- If you send with your brand (for example
MYCOMPANY), it has to be registered with us declared as the originating provider. In the dashboard you have the Senders screen with the status of each one and a form to request registration: we ask you for the link that justifies it —your company name, your trade name, your registered trademark with its number or your domain—, which is exactly what has to be entered on the electronic office. - If you already had your alias approved with another provider, write to us: we have to be added as an additional provider and we explain it step by step. The registration you already have is not lost.
Until that date, an unregistered sender warns but sends. After it, either it is registered or the sending falls back to the numeric sender. We are telling you now so that you reach September with your homework done.
How to start, in three steps
- Create your account and verify your email (it arrives within seconds; check your spam folder if it does not appear).
- Try the API in simulation mode: you spend nothing and the messages are marked as simulated in your history, so there is no way to get confused.
- Write to us for the transfer of your balance and to review your account: once it is approved, top-ups and real sending open up.
If you had campaigns or contact lists on the previous platform, tell us in that same email: we will give you the CSV format to import them and give you a hand with the first one.
And if anything above has left you with questions —rates for your volume, routes for a particular country, the sender procedure— write to us: a person who knows the platform will answer.
