Bulk SMS for business: mass SMS sending with verified delivery

Send bulk SMS to your customers from the dashboard (with Excel or CSV) or from our SMS API for Spain and the rest of the world: a custom sender name with your brand, real-time delivery confirmation (DLR), published rates by country and a prepaid balance that never expires.

  • Balance that never expires
  • Balance in euros
  • GDPR · EU servers
  • SMS to Spain from €0.039

Why bulk SMS is still the most reliable channel

SMS needs no app, no data connection and no need for the customer to have you in their contacts: it reaches any mobile phone, is read within minutes and is the preferred channel for urgent notices, appointment reminders and verification codes.

Real deliverability, not promised deliverability

We work with high-quality direct SMS routes and approve every account manually: the idea is that nobody burns the routes your traffic goes out on and that your sender name keeps its reputation. And with configurable routing per channel: each account sets its primary provider and, if it has a second one contracted, the backup one.

A custom sender name with your brand

Send with your own alphanumeric sender name ("YOURCLINIC", "YOURSHOP") instead of an unknown number: more opens and more trust. And with the CNMC sender registry mandatory in Spain since 2026 we help you with the documentation for the registration, which the holder of the alias submits to the CNMC.

Real-time DLR, message by message

Every bulk SMS returns its delivery confirmation (DLR) in real time: sent, delivered or failed, with the date and the reason for the error. Check it in the dashboard or receive it in your system through signed webhooks with retries, something no other Spanish SMS platform offers.

Send bulk SMS from Excel or schedule campaigns in the dashboard

You do not need to integrate anything to get started: the SMS platform includes a complete campaign dashboard in English (and in Spanish, French, Catalan, Basque and Galician).

Send bulk SMS from Excel or CSV in three steps

Upload your Excel or CSV file with phone numbers and data columns, write the message with custom variables ({nombre}, {fecha_cita}, {importe}) and confirm. Before sending you will see the exact cost estimate of the bulk SMS campaign: no surprises on the invoice.

  • Personalisation per contact: each customer receives their SMS with their own data.
  • Scheduled sending: launch the SMS campaign at the time with the highest open rate.
  • Contact lists and segmentation reusable across campaigns.
  • Opt-out link in every campaign (LSSI): write {BAJA} and each recipient gets their own one-click opt-out link. Whoever opts out goes onto your opt-out list and campaigns always leave them out, at no cost. An opt-out sent as an SMS reply (“BAJA”, “STOP”) is not interpreted: you add it to that list yourself.
  • Real-time statistics: sent, delivered, failed and actual cost.

Transactional SMS and marketing SMS on the same platform

Use the same balance for transactional SMS (order confirmations, OTP codes, payment reminders, system alerts) and for marketing SMS (promotions, sales, customer win-back). Every message is recorded with its status, its cost in euros and its full history, ready to audit.

Prefer to integrate it? The same capability is available through the multichannel REST API, including a campaigns API that we did not find at any of the Spanish providers compared in July 2026: create a complete bulk SMS campaign with a single POST /campaigns call.

SMS rates by country: published prices, no small print

We detect the international prefix of each phone number (E.164 format) and charge the SMS according to the destination country. Below are five reference destinations; the whole catalogue —215 destinations with a rate, prefix by prefix— is published in the price table by country, you have it in the calculator below and you can check it the same way in the dashboard and through the API with GET /api/v1/pricing/sms. A country without a loaded rate is rejected instead of going out at a made-up price.

Destination country Prefix Price per SMS 1,000 SMS
Spain+340,039 €39 €
France+330,08 €80 €
Germany+490,0926 €92,60 €
United Kingdom+440,0534 €53,40 €
USA and Canada+10,0083 €8,30 €

Work out the price of your bulk SMS campaign

Prepaid in euros, no fees and no lock-in. Your balance never expires. Prices excl. VAT. On WhatsApp this is our price per message: Meta bills its conversation fees separately.

Buy SMS that never expire: on other bulk SMS platforms the balance expires after 15 or 18 months and you lose whatever you do not use. At SMSverifica your prepaid balance never expires: buy SMS today and use them when you need them.

SMS API for Spain: send bulk SMS from your software in minutes

A JSON REST API with API key authentication, idempotent sending (which not even Twilio has), signed status webhooks and a sandbox mode for testing without spending a euro.

Integrating the SMS sending API in any language

PHP, Python, Node.js, Java, C#... if your language speaks HTTP and JSON, it is already integrated. Send a transactional SMS with one call, check its status with another, and receive status changes (DLR) at your own endpoint through signed webhooks with retries and backoff.

  • Idempotency-Key: network retries never duplicate an SMS or its charge.
  • Sandbox per account: simulate sends and statuses at no cost, properly documented.
  • No mandatory IP whitelist: works from the cloud, serverless and CI.
  • Clear errors: insufficient balance returns HTTP 402 with a readable code.

The CNMC SMS sender registry: turn it into an advantage

Since 15 September 2026, Spanish operators block SMS with an alphanumeric sender not entered in the CNMC alias registry. It is the most important anti-fraud measure in the SMS channel in years: registered aliases are protected against impersonation (smishing) and unregistered ones are no longer delivered.

For your company it is an opportunity, not a problem: a registered, verified sender means that nobody can send SMS pretending to be your brand, and that your customers can trust your notices. At SMSverifica we work with you on registering your custom sender as part of the account approval process, so that you reach the 2026 block with your homework done.

  • We advise you on which alias to register and with what justification of use. You submit the application yourself, as the holder of the alias, on the CNMC's electronic office.
  • Accounts approved manually: only legitimate senders on our routes.
  • LSSI and GDPR compliance documented for your audits.
  • An alternative through another channel: also send via the WhatsApp Business API with the same platform and the same balance. And via Telegram to contacts who have started the conversation with your bot: it is not an immediate substitute for SMS, because Telegram does not allow writing to a number that has not done so.

Frequently asked questions about bulk SMS for business

How much does it cost to send bulk SMS?

At SMSverifica, sending bulk SMS to Spain costs €0.039 per SMS of 160 characters, with a prepaid balance model in euros, no monthly fees and no lock-in. The Spanish market ranges between €0.029 and €0.08 depending on volume. Our rates by country are published and the balance never expires.

How many characters does an SMS have?

A standard SMS holds 160 characters with the GSM-7 alphabet or 70 characters if it includes Unicode symbols (emojis, special accents). Concatenated SMS are split into parts of 153 characters (GSM-7) or 67 (Unicode) and each part is charged as one SMS.

What is the difference between a delivery report (DLR) and a certified message?

The DLR is the operator's real-time delivery confirmation: it shows the status of each SMS (sent, delivered, failed) in the dashboard and by signed webhook. The certified message goes further: a file of chained evidence and a verifiable PDF, for notifications with evidential value. We offer it only to Spain (+34) —which is where we have verified that the operator's delivery report means real delivery— and as a non-qualified electronic registered delivery service (art. 3.36 of the eIDAS Regulation): it is valid as evidence, but it does not have the legal presumption reserved for qualified providers. Certifying costs €0.328 in total to Spain: the certified text carries the link to the content and the expiry date, so it does not fit in a single SMS and takes two —€0.039 each— plus a €0.25 surcharge, excl. VAT (full rates).

Is it legal to send promotional SMS to my customers?

Yes, with the recipient's prior express consent (art. 21 of the Spanish LSSI) or where there is a prior contractual relationship regarding similar products or services, always including a simple way to opt out. SMSverifica approves every account manually to check that the intended use complies with the LSSI and the GDPR and to protect the reputation of the sending routes.

What is the CNMC SMS sender registry?

Spain requires alphanumeric SMS senders (the ones that show your brand instead of a number) to be registered in the CNMC alias registry; unregistered senders have been blocked since 15 September 2026. The holder of the alias submits the registration to the CNMC; at SMSverifica we help you with the documentation, but we do not submit the application on your behalf.

Does the SMS platform balance expire?

No. At SMSverifica the prepaid balance never expires, unlike other SMS platforms where the balance expires after 15 or 18 months. You top up whenever you like and what you pay is exactly the balance credited. The specific periods, with their source and date, are in the LabsMobile alternative (18 months); plans with SMS that expire every month, in the Esendex alternative (both in Spanish).
