Send Telegram messages to customers: bot, API and campaigns at €0.010 per message

Connect your business Telegram bot in 10 minutes and send notifications at €0.010 per message —almost four times less than an SMS to Spain— from the same dashboard and the same API as your SMS and WhatsApp messages. None of the Spanish platforms we compared in July 2026 offered this channel.

  • €0.010 per Telegram message
  • Automatic capture of the chat_id
  • REST API and signed webhooks
  • GDPR · EU servers

The channel almost no Spanish platform offers

In July 2026 we reviewed the websites and documentation of the main Spanish SMS and WhatsApp providers —LabsMobile, Instasent and Esendex—: none of them offered Telegram as a sending channel. Each name leads to the comparison (in Spanish) with the catalogue we reviewed and the date we checked it. If your customers are on Telegram, here is a professional way to talk to them there.

€0.010 per message, the cheapest

Telegram does not charge for bot messages, so that price is only our platform's: sending, retries, statuses, campaigns and history. 10,000 notices a month cost €100; the same by SMS to Spain, €390. Telegram delivers just as fast and as reliably as the other channels: the difference is not the quality of the delivery, but that the contact must have started the conversation with your bot first — as with WhatsApp. That is why it works so well with people who already follow you (employees, members, registered customers) and does not work for cold contact, where SMS reaches any mobile phone without prior permission.

Your own business Telegram bot

The bot carries your name and your brand (@YourCompanyBot): you create it for free with @BotFather in two minutes, paste the token into the dashboard and SMSverifica configures the webhook for you. No servers, no programming and no dependence on third parties.

Opt-in by design: only people who have written to you first can read you

On Telegram the customer starts the conversation with your bot: the recipient base is entirely voluntary and consent is clear from the first message. No bought lists: contacts who want to read you.

Automatic capture of the chat_id: the technical problem, solved

To send a Telegram message you need the recipient's chat_id, a piece of data no customer spreadsheet has. SMSverifica captures it and links it to your contacts automatically.

How SMSverifica links each customer to your bot

  1. Share a link such as t.me/TuEmpresaBot?start=34600111222 by SMS, email, invoice or QR code: when they tap it, the customer opens Telegram and taps "Start".
  2. The bot's webhook receives the /start and SMSverifica links the chat_id to the contact with that phone number, with no manual intervention.
  3. If the customer writes to the bot directly or shares their phone number from Telegram, we also link them to their contact record by number or username.
  4. From that moment the contact is ready to receive Telegram notifications, individual ones or bulk campaigns, from the dashboard or through the API.

Every incoming message is recorded in your account: you can see which contacts already have Telegram active and send to the rest by SMS or WhatsApp. You make that split yourself when you choose the channel for each send: the platform does not reroute from one channel to another on its own.

Telegram notifications through the API: one call and done

The same multichannel REST API that sends SMS and WhatsApp sends Telegram: change the channel and the same notice costs you almost four times less. With idempotency, signed webhooks and a sandbox mode at no cost.

Ideal for developers and IT teams

  • System and monitoring alerts at €0.010 per alert: outages, backups and deployments without the bill soaring.
  • The same JSON contract for SMS, WhatsApp and Telegram: integrate once, send through three channels.
  • Clear error telegram_no_chat_id if the contact has not activated the bot yet: with that response your backend can repeat the notice by SMS.
  • Signed webhooks for your bot's incoming messages too.
  • Campaigns API: bulk broadcast by Telegram with POST /campaigns.

Do not choose: combine. You send by Telegram to those who have the bot active and by SMS to the rest, choosing the channel on each send. The same notice, the best channel for each contact and the lowest possible bill. With one clarification we would rather give you before you discover it while integrating: automatic switching from one channel to another does not exist yet; today your backend decides. Frequently asked questions about Telegram for business

Can my company send Telegram messages to its customers?

Yes. It is done through a Telegram bot of your own connected to a platform or API: the customer starts the conversation with your bot (or taps /start from a link) and from that moment you can send them notifications, notices and campaigns. With SMSverifica you connect your bot in minutes and send from the dashboard or the REST API.

How much does it cost to send a Telegram message to a customer?

At SMSverifica, €0.010 per message: almost four times less than an SMS to Spain (€0.039). Telegram does not charge for the messages a bot sends, so that price is only our platform's. It is the cheapest channel for frequent notices: system alerts, order statuses or internal notifications.

What is the Telegram chat_id and how do I get it?

It is the unique identifier of the conversation between your bot and each user: without it you cannot send. SMSverifica captures it automatically when the customer writes to your bot or taps /start, and links it to their contact record by phone number or username. You do not manage anything: the contact is ready to receive messages.

Does the customer have to agree to receive Telegram messages?

Yes, and that is an advantage: on Telegram the customer always starts the relationship with your bot (explicit opt-in), so your recipient base has chosen you and consent is clear from the first message. They can also mute or block the bot whenever they like, which keeps your reputation intact.

Which Spanish platform offers Telegram as a business messaging channel?

In July 2026 we reviewed the published catalogue of the main Spanish providers —LabsMobile, Instasent and Esendex— and none of them offered Telegram as a sending channel. SMSverifica does treat it as a first-class channel, alongside SMS and the WhatsApp Business API, with a campaign dashboard, a REST API and webhooks.

Telegram, SMS or WhatsApp: which should I choose for customer notices?

It depends on the case: SMS reaches any mobile phone without an app and is ideal for emergencies and OTP; WhatsApp is the channel where many of your customers already talk every day; Telegram is the cheapest (€0.010 per message), perfect for frequent alerts, technical notifications and communities, with the requirement that the recipient has activated your bot. With SMSverifica you combine them: the same dashboard and the same API, choosing the channel on each send. Automatic switching from one channel to another does not exist yet: if a send fails, your backend repeats it through the channel you decide.
